Louisiana State forward Craig Victor has been dismissed by coach Johnny Jones for violating team rules, the program announced Thursday just three hours prior to its SEC opener against Vanderbilt in Baton Rouge.
The 6-foot-9 forward and New Orleans native had averaged 10.5 PPG, 7.6 RPG and 1.3 SPG this season for an 8-3 LSU squad.
"We are obviously disappointed that we had to take this action," Jones said in a statement.
