Leveling Out Recruiting: Does the SEC Really Want That?

Typically when someone is in control they try their hardest to ensure they don’t give up that control. Recently, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) has been intent on doing just that. It’s widely known that, when it comes to recruiting, the SEC is the big dog. Of course they have inherent advantages, one of which is geography — the majority of the top recruits in the nation reside in SEC country, particularly in Georgia, Florida and Texas.

Recently-hired University of Michigan coach, Jim Harbaugh, has rustled a few feathers by trying to swoop into those prime recruiting grounds in order to lure some of those prized recruits to the Midwest.
