South Carolina’s football team faces a tough test Saturday afternoon – a road game at LSU – but the Palmetto State is currently dealing with a far bigger challenge.
The state has had a severe amount of flooding over the past couple of days, leading to dams breaking and water levels rising significantly. At least 11 people have died from weather-related incidents. This caused the Gamecocks’ game against LSU – originally a home contest – to be moved to Baton Rouge, La.
Leonard Fournette, the Tigers’ star running back who is likely the cause of many nightmares for Gamecocks’ defensive coaches, knows what the state of South Carolina is going through.
