K-State fans raise money to help marching band

One of the biggest stories of the college football weekend had nothing to do with play on the field. At least, not football play, that is. During halftime of a win over South Dakota, Kansas State’s marching band took a shot at rival Kansas by forming a giant Jayhawk mascot, and having him attacked by what was supposed to be the Starship Enterprise from Star Trek. We’ll leave you to your own imaginations, but to many, the performance seemed to depict something completely different.
