University of Illinois linebacker Julian Jones will be extradited to Georgia and reportedly faces charges of aggravated sexual battery.
According to Lauren Laws of IllinoisHomePage.net, Jones was in Georgia in October when the team had an off week, and the state is accusing Jones of "fleeing the state to avoid prosecution."
This news came one day after Illinois head football coach Bill Cubit announced Wednesday that Jones had been suspended indefinitely pending a criminal investigation, per WAND-17 TV.
According to the Associated Press (via ESPN.com), Jones is from Atlanta, but the town where the alleged crime is said to have happened has not been made public.
