According to ESPN Stats & Info, Barrett's 58th scoring strike through the air moved him past Bobby Hoying into the top spot.
The record-breaker was Barrett's third touchdown pass of the day, as he found junior tight end Marcus Baugh from 16 yards out to put the Buckeyes on top 23-0 in the second quarter.
