Joe Burrow has record-setting day as No. 1 LSU dominates Oklahoma in Peach Bowl

USA TODAY

ATLANTA — Oklahoma's first offensive play from scrimmage ended in a sack. The second, a run, lost yardage. The third, also a run, likewise lost yardage. Adding insult to injury, the Sooners' punt on fourth down wobbled just 23 yards.

LSU first three plays on the ensuing possession? Completion, completion, touchdown. While Oklahoma would score next to knot the score at 7-7, the tone of the Peach Bowl had been set: LSU was unstoppable offensively in putting together a 63-28 win to advance to the College Football Playoff national championship game against the winner of the Fiesta Bowl, either Ohio State or Clemson.
