Last week, the Florida State Seminoles got a serious health scare when running back Mario Pender was taken to the hospital after suffering a collapsed lung at practice. Initially thought to be something that would keep him in the hospital for just a few days, Pender still remains hospitalized one week later.
Head coach Jimbo Fisher, during his weekly call-in show, gave an update on Pender’s health:
“They actually had to go in and finish some surgery, he got some infection in his lung, so they went in today and did some surgery,” Fisher said.
