Jim Harbaugh has been at Michigan for only a year and a half.
But he already has a big raise after his 10-3 first season in 2015.
Harbaugh and the university agreed to an addendum to his initial U-M contract on June 3, signing for an additional $2 million per year to his initial base salary of $5 million per year.
It is listed in the form of a life insurance policy where the university will pay a premium of $2 million per year to the insurer for the life of the current contract, through December 2021.
