It’s very important not to laugh because colon cancer is a very serious issue. The CDC recommends regular screening for everyone beginning at 50, with a sigmoidscope every five years, and a full colonoscopy every ten. There are more than 200,000 cases of colon cancer in the United States annually. Get screened! Be healthy! Don’t be afraid of medical professionals putting things up your ass. Jim Harbaugh isn’t, and for that and his public advocacy for a worthy public health cause, we commend him.
It’s also very important to note that for Jim Harbaugh even a colonoscopy has a kickoff, and is probably some kind of competition he’ll do anything to win with friends and family, and talk about with them well after he exceeds the limits of polite patience on the part of the listener.
