Jack Sears Flips Commitment from Duke to USC: Details and Reaction

Top quarterback prospect Jack Sears has changed his commitment from the Duke Blue Devils to the USC Trojans, per Tom Loy of 247Sports.

"I have the utmost respect and admiration for Coach [David] Cutcliffe, the entire coaching staff and Duke University," Sears said Sunday. "I wish them nothing but success in the future. I am now a USC Trojan and look forward to starting classes in January."

The 4-star recruit is the No. 11-ranked quarterback in the 2017 class, according to Scout.com. He originally committed to Duke over a handful of elite programs in August, but the San Clemente, California, native decided he would rather stay closer to home.
