Hawkeye fans will get a good early look at this year’s Iowa football team at Kinnick Stadium this Saturday, as the 2015 spring game pits the Hawkeye offense and defense against each other, offering fans a taste of competitive football ahead of the 2015 season. Head coach Kirk Ferentz and the Hawkeyes held an open practice for fans in western and central Iowa last Saturday at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines, however the team is holding the official spring game this Saturday. Often times, college football spring games are merely glorified practices with limited urgency and effort.
