You’ve heard of team’s insuring players’ contracts for medical purposes, and now a player has insured HIMSELF.
According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, former Oregon Ducks cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu has taken out a $3 million “loss of value” insurance policy out on himself.
Oregon CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu has a $3M loss of value insurance policy. If he isn't drafted by early 3rd round, he will collect all of it

The move sort of makes sense from Ekpre-Olomu’s end. He suffered a severe knee injury back in December, and the university took out the policy, covering the entire tab.
