While Auburn has a lot at stake with this weekend's matchup against in-state rival Alabama, the Tigers landed a huge victory on the recruiting trail when 5-star wide receiver Kyle Davis announced his commitment to the Tigers on Wednesday.
The 6'1 ½", 218-pounder, who rates as the nation's No. 20 overall prospect and the top receiver in the 2016 cycle, picked the Tigers over Georgia and Tennessee.
In particular, the in-state Bulldogs were perceived as the heavy favorites to land the No. 2 prospect from the Peach State.
Instead, Davis—who is an early enrollee and will be on campus in January—represents a monster addition for Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn and his staff.
