Stanford running back Bryce Love will return to college for his senior season and put his NFL aspirations on hold, The San Francisco Chronicle reported Tuesday. Love made his decision late Monday night, right before the deadline for entering April's NFL draft.
Love, the Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2017, will be a favorite to win the prestigious award in 2018, while also surely uplifting the Cardinal's outlook next fall after a 9-5 season.
Love was second in the nation in rushing last season with 2,118 yards. A large chunk of his groundwork for the Cardinal was done in the final six games of the season while he was hampered by an ankle injury.
