East Tennessee State's Devontavius Payne and T.J. Cromer went back-to-back with half-court shots to win a pair of students free tuition.
"I've never seen two guys hit consecutive shots like that before," ETSU coach Steve Forbes told ESPN. "Never."
Students Garrett Pack and Jeremiah Pearson missed their half-court attempts, but athletic director Dr. Richard Sander then allowed each to pick a player to take a shot for them. Pack chose Payne, who made his shot. It was followed by Cromer, who made his for Pearson.
"I hadn't seen Payne make one before in practice, but I've seen Cromer do it time and time again," Forbes said.
