Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart expressed his support for the SEC to the CFP Committee following their hard-fought 31-17 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers.
"I would welcome anybody in [the College Football Playoff] committee to come down to this league and play in this environment. It's a tough place to play," said Smart post-game.
The Bulldogs improved to 8-2 and moved into third place in the SEC, while the Volunteers dropped to 8-2, settling in fourth.
Following the gritty win, which saw both teams tied at 17-17 entering halftime, Smart subtly took a jab at the selection committee, expressing uncertainty about what message the victory sent.
