Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm broke a bone in his non-throwing hand during a boating accident earlier this week.
Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart confirmed the injury to ESPN on Wednesday, calling it "insignificant" and explaining that the sophomore has already resumed throwing. UGASports.com, a Rivals affiliate, first reported the news.
The accident occurred earlier this week when Fromm and some friends were wakeboarding on Lake Burton in northern Georgia, according to multiple reports. UGASports.com and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution both reported that Fromm was riding in the back of the boat when the handle on the end of the pull rope snapped back and hit the back of his left hand.
