Tim Wolfe resigned as president of the University of Missouri System amid criticism of his handling of racial incidents on campus.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri coach Gary Pinkel said Monday he supported his players' decision to deliver an ultimatum – they would boycott football until the University of Missouri system's president resigned or was removed from his position – because "a young man's life was on the line."

Tim Wolfe, the president of the University of Missouri system, resigned Monday morning after growing turmoil on campus over what protesting students and players saw as a pattern of continued race issues that were being ignored by the school's leadership.
