Notre Dame’s loss is Texas Tech’s gain. Earlier this summer, sophomore linebacker Kolin Hill announced that he would be transferring from Notre Dame after one season in South Bend. This afternoon, Hill announced that he will be heading back to his home state and playing for the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Hill played in nine games for Notre Dame as a true freshman, totaling seven tackles (2.5 for loss), and two sacks on the year.
