Former Baylor DE Sam Ukwuachu Sentenced for 2013 Sexual Assault of Soccer Player

A judge in McLennan County, Texas, sentenced former Baylor and Boise State defensive end Sam Ukwuachu to 180 days in county jail Friday after he was found guilty of second-degree sexual assault. Ukwuachu will also remain on felony probation for a period of 10 years, per ESPN.com's Max Olson.

According to Tommy Witherspoon of the Waco Tribune, the jury recommended an eight-year probated sentence for Ukwuachu.

Little was known about why Ukwuachu was yet to appear for the Bears after transferring from Boise State. He was eligible to play during the 2014 season but failed to see the field.
