GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Gators quarterback Anthony Richardson is heading to the court after a sheriff's deputy caught him driving more than 100 mph, court records show.
A copy of the traffic ticket obtained by The Gainesville Sun shows Richardson was traveling in a 2021 Dodge vehicle at 105 mph — in a 60 mph speed zone — along West Newberry Road on April 4, more than a week before the Orange and Blue spring football game, where the 19-year-old was a standout.
There were no other passengers in the vehicle at the time an Alachua County deputy pulled him over.
