When it was all said and done Saturday, the Florida Gators had accomplished something that even their biggest supporters may have thought was a few years off. With a 9-7 win over Vanderbilt on homecoming weekend, the Gators clinched the SEC East in Jim McElwain’s first year as head coach.
One of the top recruits McElwain was able to bring into Gainesville this past year was defensive lineman CeCe Jefferson. Though he didn’t record a tackle in Saturday’s win, Jefferson has gotten playing time over the course of the year, giving Florida fans a taste of what’s to come.
