Five Florida State Seminoles players have been subpoenaed in the misdemeanor battery case against former quarterback De’Andre Johnson. Florida State’s Attorney Willie Meggs confirmed the news to Safid Deen of the Tallahassee Democrat.
The five players subpoenaed are as follows: sophomore defensive back Malique Jackson, redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Wilson Bell, sophomore linebacker Jacob Pugh, redshirt freshman tight end Mavin Sanders and freshman wideout Auden Tate. Jackson and Bell met with Meggs on Tuesday, while Pugh, Sanders and Tate will meet with him on Friday. Meggs also said that more football players would “probably” be subpoenaed in the near future.
