EA Sports College Football 25's release has been "above expectations" and seen 6.5 million unique players as of Tuesday.
That news is per EA, which released the information on an Investor Day call in New York City, per Pete Nakos of On3.
The game marked the return of the college football franchise for the first time since 2013, when it was known as NCAA Football. That EA-developed game ran from 1998-2013.
The return of a college football video game undoubtedly excited fans, with the excitement and buildup rising to a fever pitch before the game was released in July.
