Donnel Pumphrey Breaks Record for Most Rushing Yards in FBS History

San Diego State running back Donnel Pumphrey broke the NCAA all-time rushing record of 6,397 set by Ron Dayne from 1996 to 1999 during Saturday's Las Vegas Bowl against Houston:

Pumphrey needed 108 yards entering the game and broke the mark during the fourth quarter with a 15-yard rush. Per NCAA Stats, that put him at 6,402 career rushing yards.

He moved to within 11 of the mark in the final minute of the third quarter thanks to a 32-yard touchdown, via GoAztecs:
