Duke, which had the No. 6-ranked class in 2016 entering Sunday, picked up a four-star verbal pledge from a power forward named Javin DeLaurier.
The decision single-handedly caused 247 Sports to bump Duke to the top of the rankings for 2016.
The 17-year-old made his announcement on Twiter:

DeLaurier is the classic case of a late-bloomer, a recruit who wasn't highly recruited through his first two years of high school -- before blowing up and becoming a big-time prospect. Duke showed heavy interest this past spring -- just as it did with fellow 2016 Blue Devils commit Frank Jackson, who vowed his services to Duke earlier this month -- and with that, DeLaurier wound up picking Mike Krzyzewski's program over the likes of Texas, Stanford, Arizona and Notre Dame.
