Deal between Mike Woodson and Indiana will be for six years, sources say, as Hoosiers finally find their next men's basketball coach

New York Knicks assistant Mike Woodson is finalizing a six-year contract to become the coach at his alma mater, Indiana, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Spencer Breecker and Evan Daniels of CAA ironed out details of the deal with Indiana on Sunday, sources said. A formal announcement is expected later today.

Woodson, 63, is an Indianapolis native who played for the Hoosiers from 1976-1980. He's spent his entire coaching career in the NBA, with 25 years of experience as an assistant and head coach. He was the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks for six seasons and the Knicks for three seasons.
