Two Purdue freshman football players are battling legal trouble following arrests Wednesday morning.
According to the Lafayette Journal & Courier, Purdue University police arrested cornerbacks David Rose and Evyn Cooper Wednesday for the alleged theft of bicycles.
The Journal & Courier reported Purdue head football coach Darrell Hazell "is aware of the incident and will let the legal process play out," per university associate athletic director for communication Matt Rector.
Rose and Cooper are three-star recruits who signed letters of intent to play for the Boilermakers on Feb.
