Senior quarterback Connor Cook seemed like a shoo-in to be named a Michigan State captain to those of us outside of a program. Instead, the team went in another direction, naming Jack Allen, Shilique Calhoun and Darien Harris the Spartans’ three captains. Cook is clearly not happy about this, and spoke at length about it with Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press.
“…And guys still look to me as a leader, and obviously it stinks not to be captain.
