The third-ranked Clemson Tigers will attempt to quiet any upset hopes the North Carolina State Wolfpack have, as the two teams square off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN. The Tigers will look to improve to 8-0 and set up a showdown with Florida State next Saturday, but NC State is not to be overlooked.
The Wolfpack upset the then-seventh-ranked Tigers 37-13 in 2011 by forcing four turnovers, and this game was fairly close (26-14) the last time these two teams met in Carter-Finley Stadium.
The Clemson offense, led by quarterback Deshaun Watson, was clicking early and often a week ago in a 58-0 rout of Miami, but it faces a NC State defense that is tied for 11th in the nation in scoring defense.
