After a consequential Week 5 of the college football season, several teams further cemented their College Football Playoff standings while others saw their CFP hopes take a hit.

Ole Miss was arguably the biggest loser of the day as the No. 6 Rebels dropped a game at home to unranked Kentucky.

USC and Notre Dame kept their playoff hopes alive with wins over Wisconsin and Louisville, respectively.

Michigan faced a scare against Minnesota but came out victorious to remain in the CFP race despite a Week 2 loss to Texas. BYU, fresh off a win over Kansas State last week, remained undefeated with a win over Baylor as it looks to sneak into the CFP conversation.
