Central Michigan upset No. 17 Oklahoma State on Saturday in stunning fashion. But should the Chippewas even had a chance to make that play on an untimed down?
Oklahoma State was penalized for intentional grounding on what appeared to be the final play, which was a fourth down for the Cowboys. Officials stepped off the penalty and then gave Central Michigan an untimed down.
Chippewas quarterback Cooper Rush connected with receiver Jesse Kroll, who was covered heavily by Cowboys defenders and nearly tackled.
Kroll instinctively lateraled to Malik Fountain, who ran in for the game-winning touchdown.
