The Boeing 777 charter waiting for the Cal football team at San Francisco’s airport will undergo a transformation once the Bears board it Saturday night.
The business class bar will be bereft of booze in favor of Gatorade and water. Standing areas and aisles will serve as ersatz yoga studios and jogging tracks. And right below the Bears’ seats will be eight tons of gear carefully tucked into a substitute for the tractor trailer Cal usually uses for road games.
All of the changes are necessary because Cal is playing a highly unusual road game next week.
