Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, expects to be back on the court in the near future after suffering cardiac arrest during July practice at USC.
In a statement, the James family said Bronny has a congenital heart defect which is treatable, according to medical professionals tasked with his care.
James, a top-20 recruit in the class of 2023, arrived at USC last month and is expected to suit up for the Trojans this season. He spent his high school career at Sierra Canyon High School (California), developing into a bona fide NBA prospect over the past couple of years.
