The College Football Playoff landscape continues to shift on a weekly basis during the 2024 season. That was again the case this past weekend, when several results shook up the projected 12-team field.
For one, BYU suffered its first loss of the season, dropping to 9-1 with a 17-13 home loss to Kansas. It opens the door in the Big 12 for Colorado, which beat Utah 49-24 for its fourth consecutive victory and (like BYU) has only one conference loss.
Also, Georgia pushed its way back into the CFP picture with a 31-17 home win vs. Tennessee.
