Louisville just fell 31-24 to No. 6 Auburn in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Classic in the Georgia Dome. In the final minute of the loss, Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino called one of the worst timeouts you’ll ever see.

Louisville had Auburn facing a 3rd-and-2 from the Cardinals 38 with :52 remaining when an offensive holding penalty pushed the Tigers back 10 yards. When the referee announced the penalty, he declared that it “was not a (time) run-off situation”, meaning the clock would be stopped at :52 and not start automatically.
