Baylor WR Ishmael Zamora charged with misdemeanor for beating dog

Baylor wide receiver Ishmael Zamora has been charged with a misdemeanor and will be disciplined by the team after a video surfaced of him beating his dog.

A Snapchat video obtained by KXXV-TV in Waco, Texas shows Zamora beating his dog with a belt after it went to the bathroom in the house. A former Baylor student saw the video and reported it to Animal Control, the Baylor Police Department and the athletic department.

Zamora was ultimately charged with a misdemeanor and given a citation that could cost up to $500. He sent the dog to live with his relatives after the incident, according to police documents.
