MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Arkansas football led Kansas by 25 points in the third quarter of the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Wednesday. The Razorbacks had set a bowl record for most points scored in a single quarter with 24 in the first. The defense had forced three turnovers. Arkansas was cruising.
And then the Jayhawks woke up. They scored their first touchdown of the second half with 3:15 left in the third quarter. They held Arkansas to three consecutive punts and scored on four consecutive drives. After a controversial Arkansas fumble, the Jayhawks scored with little more than a minute left to send the game to overtime.
