Alabama football survived a harrowing win at Bryant-Denny stadium on Tuesday. The traditional “Third Saturday in October” (actually played on the fourth Saturday this year) against Tennessee looked like the rivalry of years gone by. Alabama even faced a one point deficit late in the fourth quarter. Though fans were surely worried, the Crimson Tide is still alive in the playoff race. After dropping a game to Ole Miss earlier in the season, Bama has both blew out opponents and narrowly escaped. Still, if Alabama wins out and Ole Miss drops another SEC game, then Alabama will likely find itself in the second college football playoff.
