Alabama senior quarterback Jacob Coker was nowhere to be found this morning when the Crimson Tide opened up practice to the media. We now know the reason why.
Coker, who is battling a number of other signal-callers for the starting position, injured his foot and will miss several days of practice. The injury isn’t considered serious, but it certainly can’t help his cause.

Coker, who transferred in from Florida State ahead of last season, was expected to win the starting job a year ago, but eventually lost out to then-senior Blake Sims.
