Alabama athletics director Greg Byrne threw some serious shade on Central Florida's claim of being college football's reigning national champions.
The Crimson Tide beat the Knights in the second round of the women's NIT on Sunday, leading Byrne to respond with a tweet about the school being "not ready to make it more than it was and schedule a Disney parade."
The line was in reference to UCF declaring itself national champions in football after finishing as the lone unbeaten in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
One-loss Alabama was actually crowned champions after beating Georgia in the College Football Playoff championship game.
