Any avid Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) football watcher could have told you this a long time ago: the officials just aren’t that great.
The officials proved it on a national scale after last week’s game between the Miami Hurricanes and Duke Blue Devils. As if that weren’t enough, the ACC noticed even more botched calls after further reviewing the game.
Miami’s athletic director Blake James wrote a letter to season-ticket holders citing the ACC acknowledged “multiple incorrect calls” throughout Saturday’s game.
One of the incorrect calls was a pass interference foul on Duke’s go-ahead touchdown drive that would have, in most other occasions, resulted in a Blue Devils victory.
