A BRIEF UPDATE ON OREGON’S 2017 SO FAR

To recap:

  1. A January 13 story by Andrew Greif details how the Ducks football program fell apart over the course of the 2016 calendar year, including players cutting or skipping workouts and warmups, a breakdown of team leadership, Helfrich losing the team by being too analytical as a leader, declining yields on recruiting efforts, and an overall onset of obvious program malaise from the top down. Other than that, everything was fine, you know, after they fired Mark Helfrich.
  2. Oregon hires Willie Taggart from USF. Taggart hires Irele Oderinde, USF’s strength coach, to head up Oregon’s strength and conditioning program.
