3 killed when accused drunk driver plows into Okla. homecoming parade

A woman who police say was driving drunk crashed into the Oklahoma State Homecoming parade Saturday morning, killing three bystanders, critically injuring eight others, and leaving more than a dozen others with lesser injuries.

The driver, Adacia Chambers, 25, was arrested and jailed on suspicion of driving under the influence, said Stillwater Police Capt. Kyle Gibbs. Police didn’t immediately release any details about the three killed in the crash at about 10:31 a.m. Eastern, and university officials said the Homecoming game would still be played. Paramedics and firefighters participating in the parade were able to assist the injured immediately, officials said.
