The Michigan Wolverines have lost a four-star OL commit to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Emil Ekiyor, who had been committed to Michigan since October of 2016, fills a big need up front for the Crimson Tide. He announced his decision on Twitter.

"I’ve already called Coach (Nick) Saban and told him everything, I told him I’m committed and everything," Ekiyor told 247sports. "I just feel more comfortable there with the coaching staff and feel really comfortable with Coach (Brent) Key, and Coach (Derrick) Ansley that’s been recruiting me. I just feel like it’s a special place ... These last few visits I’ve taken, just seeing everything has opened my eyes. It opened my eyes to a whole different side of Alabama. It just seemed like a better fit for me."
Ekiyor is the No. 105 overall recruit in the class of 2016. Hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, he's the No. 1 player in the state. He's also the No. 2 offensive guard recruit.
Ekiyor is the fourth decommitment of Michigan's 2018 class, which recently added four-star TE Mustapha Muhammad. Michigan now ranks No. 14 in the nation with 14 commits for this coming class. Alabama is 16th with 12 pledges. Ekiyor becomes Alabama's highest-rated recruit thus far.
