The College Football Playoff Selection Committee released their first rankings of the season, showing how they think the top teams in college football stack up against each other at the current moment. At the end of the regular season, the top four teams in these rankings will play in the College Football Playoff for the national title.
These rankings serve as a reflection of where teams stand right now with their current resume, and aren't a representation of who the committee thinks are the best teams in the country.
