The Alabama Crimson Tide come away with a 26-23 victory on Monday versus the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2018 National Championship Game. It was the first overtime in the four-year history of the College Football Playoffs and first national title championship overtime since 2002.
The Crimson Tide defense allowed the Bulldogs offense to gain 365 total yards - 232 passing yards. The Crimson Tide offense gained 371 yards and 20 first downs.

Alabama lost the battle of time of possession 33:43 to 26:17, but came away with a win in a tough SEC game. True freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa started the second half and brought the Crimson Tide back after they were shut out in the first half.
Tagovailoa finished with 166 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. True freshman running back Najee Harris led the Tide with 64 rushing yards.
Georgia drops to 13-2 with the loss. Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm finished with 232 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Running back Sony Michel led the Bulldogs with 98 rushing yards.
