The College Football AP Poll Top 25 has been released for week 14 of the CFB season. Ohio State had its smallest margin of victory this season with an 11-point win over Penn State and LSU’s offense was dominant yet again. However, Oregon loss to Arizona State 31-28, leaving the 4th spot of the CFP wide open for Utah, the Big 12 Champion or even a Tua-less Alabama team to take it. Tom Downey break downs the AP Top 25, Heisman power rankings and the winners & losers from Week 13.
Georgia, Utah, Alabama, Oklahoma, Baylor and Minnesota all won Saturday, with Baylor’s win securing a rematch with OU in the Big 12 Championship. Jalen Hurts and Oklahoma jumped out to an early 21-0 lead and were able to hold off the Frogs 28-24 comeback thanks to a generous first down spot. They’re winners in Week 13 IN THE VIDEO ABOVE AND BELOW, along with Baylor and Bama. Alabama will face Auburn this weekend in the Iron Bowl. Oregon, on the other hand, came into the game against ASU as 14-point favorites and allowed the Sun Devils to beat them 31-28. It’s not as bad as Miami’s loss to FIU though-- the Hurricanes first loss to a non-power five school since 2015. Stanford’s the third loser of week 13, who will miss out on the postseason for the 1st time since 2008 thanks to their loss to the Cal Bears.
Chase Young made his return to the playing field following a 2-game suspension and made his presence known in a big way. Young finished the day with 9 tackles, 3 sacks, 4 tackles for loss and 2 forced fumbles. He looks to be the biggest threat to Joe Burrow taking home the Heisman Trophy. Burrow and the LSU Tigers steamrolled Arkansas, becoming the 4th QB in SEC history to throw for 4,000 yards in a single season. Who will win the Heisman? We break down our top 3 front runners.
