That ad supposedly taken out by James Franklin in The Tennessean thanking Vanderbilt fans for Franklin's three-year tenure with the school? Looks like it was paid for by Franklin's new employer - Penn State University. The Tennessean's VP of ad sales, John Ward, confirmed that PSU footed the bill for the ad on Thursday afternoon.
